Who we are
R&K Wellness Group is a nurse practitioner-led psychiatric and medical practice based in Rockville, Maryland. Our goal is to provide thoughtful, practical, and individualized care for patients seeking support with mental health, medication management, primary care needs, substance use concerns, and wound care.
We believe that good care starts with listening. Before making treatment recommendations, we take time to understand each patient’s history, concerns, goals, and current needs. Our approach is collaborative, respectful, and focused on helping patients make informed decisions about their health.
R&K Wellness Group was created to offer care that feels personal, professional, and grounded in real clinical experience. We understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, especially when patients are unsure where to start. Our goal is to make the process clear, supportive, and clinically appropriate from the first contact.
Our Approach to Care
At R&K Wellness Group, we focus on the whole person, not just a diagnosis or a single symptom. Mental health, physical health, sleep, stress, relationships, medical conditions, and life circumstances can all affect how a person feels and functions. We aim to consider those factors when developing a plan of care.
Our care is built around:
Respectful listening and clear communication
Careful assessment before starting or changing medications
Collaboration between patient and provider
Education about treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives
Coordination with other healthcare providers when appropriate
Safe, ethical, and individualized treatment planning
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all care. Treatment should make sense for the patient’s symptoms, history, goals, lifestyle, and level of need.
Services We Are Preparing to Offer
R&K Wellness Group is currently completing the insurance credentialing process and preparing to open for patient care. Once scheduling becomes available, we plan to offer services such as:
Psychiatric evaluations
Medication management
Support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, and related conditions
Substance use support when clinically appropriate
Primary care and preventive health support
Chronic condition follow-up
Wound care evaluation and management
Telehealth and in-person care when available
The first visit is a consultation and does not automatically establish an ongoing treatment relationship. During the initial appointment, the provider and patient will review clinical needs, treatment goals, safety considerations, and whether R&K Wellness Group is the appropriate setting for ongoing care.

What Patients Can Expect
Patients can expect a professional, respectful, and thoughtful care experience. We want patients to understand what is being recommended, why it is being recommended, and what alternatives may exist.
During care, we may discuss symptoms, medical history, medications, past treatment, safety concerns, lifestyle factors, labs, outside records, and coordination with other providers. When medication is part of the plan, we aim to explain the purpose of the medication, potential benefits, possible side effects, and monitoring needs.
We also recognize that not every patient need can be safely managed in an outpatient private practice setting. If a higher level of care is needed, we will discuss appropriate recommendations and resources.
Our Commitment
R&K Wellness Group is committed to providing care that is clinically appropriate, ethical, and respectful. We aim to build trust through clear communication, thoughtful treatment planning, and professionalism.
We are currently preparing to open and are not yet scheduling patient appointments. Once appointments become available, we will announce it on our website. In the meantime, prospective patients may use the contact form to join the interest list.
Please do not use the website, contact form, email, phone, or text message for emergencies or urgent medical or psychiatric concerns. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
